FORMING THE CREATIVITY OF FUTURE EDUCATORS IN THE PROCESS OF PROFESSIONAL TRAINING

Abstract

In reforming higher pedagogical education, it is relevant to search for ways of forming creativity of a future preschool teacher in the context of competence realization of professional functions in general and, in particular, development of children’s creative potential. The article aims to analyze the possibilities of the training discipline “Practical training in the production of illustrative material” as a means of forming creativity in future teachers of preschool education in the context of their readiness to develop children’s creativity. Research methods: analysis, synthesis, generalization and systematization. The article determines that a future educator’s readiness for professional activity results from professional training and is reflected in the formation of essential, general and professional competencies. An important role is played by his/ her ability to develop the creative potential of a preschool child. The content of the training discipline is a generalized modern understanding of the content of illustration and illustrative material as a visual method of formation of professional competence of future educators in general and their creativity. The essential aspects of the study: illustration as a visual method of professional training of the future educators; illustrative materials, their types, functions, requirements for production; interrelation of verbal methods and illustration; a role of illustrative materials in implementation of educational activity of the future educators according to the State standard of the preschool education. The aim of the discipline is for the students to master the whole system of knowledge on the theory of teaching and education as a component of professional training of future teachers of ECE centres; to build the future teachers’ readiness for professional activity in general and their creativity in particular in the context of their acquisition of practical skills in making illustrative material and its integrative use with other visual methods for the development of children’s creativity. Further research requires substantiation of new content, forms and methods of students’ creativity formation in the professional training of future preschool teachers, mainly using the creative potential of various academic disciplines.
